Well, we made it to the halfway point. This is the 20th week! This week I will enjoy the fact that I am at the halfway point, then next week I will have to start looking forward to the next milestone: the third trimester, which I think is 28 weeks. I haven’t really looked into that yet to be honest. So far my ‘learn as I go’ approach has helped things go faster. I am afraid that if I focus too much on the end, time will start to drag. The first 19 weeks have gone by quickly, I can’t believe it is already April… wasn’t it just January?? I really want the second half to go just as quickly.
And, I haven’t thrown up in a week! That is pretty awesome. I don’t think I have gone an entire seven days without throwing up since early January. Although, Saturday morning I had a really close call… but let’s not focus on that. Let’s just call this a week without vomit. I won’t say I am feeling like my pre-pregnant self, but I am so much better than I was just a few weeks ago.
The kiddo has been kicking more, too. Poor Sean still can’t feel it, despite him having his hand on my belly while she delivered a few good kicks this evening. There have been a couple times when I happened to have my hand on my stomach and I could just barely feel it from the outside though, so I am hopeful that he will be able to feel her in another week.
Oh, and the anatomy scan is Thursday (4/11)… so we will get to see her again soon. As always I am a little nervous because they could find something wrong, but excited for the chance to peep.
